Ceremonial and Protocol Management” is a Training Program organized by the General Administration of Organization and Administration at Sohag University.

The General Administration of Organization and Administration at Sohag University organized a training program titled “Ceremonial and Protocol Management,” which targeted the university’s administrative apparatus.

The program aimed to develop the skills of employees, achieve quality in the administrative process, and achieve self-development and growth.

The program was held at the Human Resources Development Center in the old campus.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of the University, said that the University administration always seeks to develop and raise the efficiency of the University’s administrative apparatus.

The course covered ceremonies and protocols, developing personal skills, and how to prepare human energies and build a second rank capable of developing, managing, and organizing conferences, official meetings, and visits,

receiving VIPs and delegations, communicating effectively with them, and dealing with different types of guests, in accordance with protocol.

Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, said that 29 trainees from the administrative structure, including employees of the University President’s Office, the Public Relations Department, the Media Center, and the offices of the Vice Presidents and Deans of the Faculties, participated in the training program.

The two-day training program was attended by the Office of the University Secretary-General and the Public Relations Department at the University Hospital Sherine Youssef, Director General of Organization and Administration, added that the goal of the training program was to familiarize participants with the art of protocol and etiquette, dealing with official delegations, and crisis management with VIPs,

strategies for dealing with difficult situations, building trust and respect in relationships, and the art of speaking with dignitaries during conferences and forums were also covered.

She explained that the training covered how to organize official visits, including preparation, planning, and execution, rules for raising and lowering flags, etiquette for greetings and shaking hands, as well as body language and speaking in the media.

Hanan Ramadan, the training manager, noted that the program covered the basic rules of etiquette, dress and appearance etiquette for formal occasions, rules for greeting and shaking hands, the art of effective communication: body language, voice, and gaze, the steps of organizing an event from concept to implementation, and how to define goals and target audience,

the types of VIPs, their most important characteristics, and how to identify their needs and expectations.

She added that the training was attended by Dr. Sahar Mohamed Wahby and Dr. Asmaa Ashry Barai from the Faculty of Arts, Department of Media.
