Dr. Hassan Al-Nu’many, President of Sohag University, announced holding of the Master’s exam in the specialty of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Faculty of Medicine, for the first time at the level of Upper Egypt universities, where researcher Amr Muhammad Abdul Hamid Al-Sharqawi was granted a Master’s degree in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
This confirms the university’s academic and medical leadership, and its commitment to preparing qualified medical personnel according to the latest scientific standards.
Dr. Hatem Ammar, the faculty’s vice dean for graduate studies and research, affirmed that the faculty is continuously working to develop scientific and research programs and open new fields in graduate studies in rare specializations, noting that granting this degree represents an important step in the journey of Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University towards academic and research excellence.
Dr. Ayman Abdel Ghaffar, Head of Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, explained that the department has witnessed a significant leap forward in recent years in terms of academic training, medical services, and modern equipment, which has contributed to qualifying researchers and doctors in this specialized field.
