The New Sohag University Hospital receives 12 Injured People subjected to a Horrific Traffic Accident on the Western Desert Road

The new Sohag University Hospital received 12 injured people from the village of Nag al-Gabal, Juhayna Center, subjected to  a horrific traffic accident on the Western Desert Road, while they were returning from the Dashna Center.

This was stated by Dr. Hassan al-Nomani, the university’s president, and he said that 4 cases were transferred to intensive care, while the other cases range from severe to moderate injuries.

Al-Nomani stressed that Sohag University Hospitals are ready to receive accident victims in any governorate, directing them to provide the highest levels of necessary health care and to harness all capabilities to treat the injured, until they recover.

Dr. Magdy Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, said that the cases of injury resulting from the accident that occurred on the Western Desert Road included bruises, abrasions, suspected fractures, and suspected abdominal bleeding, and their injuries were severe to moderate, but there are 4 cases in serious condition, and the necessary measures are being taken and all necessary measures will be provided

 

Sohag University President honors the recuperative from addiction calling for intensifying Social Protection and Awareness Programs to Protect Young People from Drugs

 

 

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, honored a number of recuperative who challenged themselves and came willingly for treatment for addiction within the Specialized Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Treatment in Sohag, at the Leadership Development Center affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in the governorate, in the presence of a group of leaders, members of the House of Representatives, and representatives of Al-Azhar.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani confirmed in his speech that the state pays great attention to the phenomenon of addiction.

President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directed to intensify social protection and awareness programs to protect young people from the harms of drugs, while providing treatment services to addiction patients.

Al-Nomani added that the university, as an ancient educational institution, plays an essential role in serving the community, as the trial opening of the “Al-Azima” integrated center for the treatment and rehabilitation of addiction patients at the university was held, which is being built on an area of ​​1,112 square meters, and is equipped with a capacity of 74 beds, and the center includes an administrative building. And another rehabilitation building.

The administrative building includes a ground floor and 3 recurring floors, a number of clinics, a pharmacy, a theater and a hall for VIPs.

The rehabilitation building includes a hall for sports activities, including a gymnasium, a games hall, a room for workshops, a restaurant, a cafeteria, and dormitories for patients, which will provide all therapeutic services for addiction patients free of charge, in addition to providing support and care after recovery to prepare them for integration into society.

Al-Numani added that the university also includes the “Volunteer House,” which is a strong beacon for benefiting from the positive energies of students in educating young people about the dangers of drug addiction and its impact on the destruction of health, the economy, and society as a whole.

The number of volunteers in the house reached 500 volunteers responsible for raising awareness and establishing communication for the addict or those who are addicted to it.

The Anti-Addiction Fund is in complete secrecy, pointing out that the headquarters of the “Volunteer House” at the university is the fourth largest in the country after the universities of Cairo, Zagazig and Helwan, calling all parties, civil society bodies, officials and those concerned with this matter to join hands and cooperate to confront this phenomenon.
