Sohag University President inaugurates the Theater of Confrontation and Roaming, affiliated with the Decent Life Project

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, recently inaugurated the Theater of Confrontation and Roaming project, affiliated with the presidential initiative “Decent Life.” The theatrical performance, organized by the Sohag Culture Palace in cooperation with the Students for Egypt family, witnessed honorable Egyptian role models, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Sami. Al-Qadi, Deputy Governor of the Region, Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the accountant Ashraf Al-Qadi, Secretary-General of the University, Major General Tariq Hafez, Director of University Security, and a number of staff members and students from various faculties and officials of Sohag Culture Palace, at the headquarters of the Great Hall in the Old campus.

At the beginning of his speech, Al-Nomani stressed the importance of the Theater of Confrontation and Roaming project, which is affiliated with the presidential initiative “A Decent Life” launched by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, pointing out that the project aims to raise cultural awareness and instill national values, by presenting a number of important issues and topics that combat ideas of Extremism and negative and destructive cultural legacies, and completing the strategy of building the Egyptian human being and achieving cultural justice by presenting various artistic performances to various groups and regions that were deprived of such cultural events, thanking all participants in the theatrical performance, who in turn seek to create a generation mixed with serious culture and fine art, especially since the first theater known to history was the Egyptian theatre.

The university president added that the Egyptian state has witnessed, since President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi assumed the presidency of the republic, an unprecedented situation in the cultural field within society, in accordance with what was stipulated in the Constitution, Article 48 of 2014, that culture is a right for every citizen guaranteed by the state, and it is committed to supporting it and making cultural materials of all kinds available to various groups.
