Sohag University President discusses Ways of Cooperation with the President of the Institute of Information Technology*

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, received Dr. Heba Saleh, Head of the Information Technology Institute of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with the aim of discussing ways of cooperation between the institute and the university, presenting plans and training programs offered to students, and following up what is provided by the Digital Egypt Creativity Center, which was established by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology at the university , in the presence of Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Heshmat, Director of the Electronic Services Center and Executive Director of Information at the University, and Engineer Ahmed Salah, Director of the Center, in his office on the old university campus.

The University President stressed the importance of the training programs that are provided in cooperation between the university and the institute, which aim to polish students’ technological skills and help them reduce the gap between theoretical study, actual reality, and labor market requirements, with the aim of preparing cadres that contribute to supporting and developing the information and communications technology industry.

Alnomany said that during the visit, the most important initiatives presented by the institute were reviewed in addition to discussing how to increase the participation of university students from various faculties, especially the faculties of computers, artificial intelligence, engineering, and science, in the initiatives offered by the Center, which prepares them for the labor market.
