Alnomany Inaugurates the Service Center for the Students with Disabilities at Sohag University*

Al-Nomany providing all services to those with different abilities to complement the Egyptian state’s efforts towards achieving social justice

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, opened the service center for students with disabilities at the university, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, to achieve integration and equality among students in university education, and to activate the cooperation protocol between the university and the American “AMIDEAST” organization, to provide all aspects of care for students with disabilities, in the presence of both.

Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Accountant Ashraf El-Kady, Secretary-General of the University, Quincy Dermody, Director of the AMIDEAST Public University Scholarships Program, Dr. Dina Mohsen, Deputy Director of the Program, Dr. Tariq Zaki, Director of the Center, and a number of faculties deans, staff members, and students from various faculties.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany said that caring for students with disabilities is one of the priorities of the Egyptian state, and this is clearly evident in the Able to Difference celebrations, which indicate the extent of the political leadership’s keenness to care for this group, its belief in their abilities and talents, and its constant endeavor to ensure that they obtain their full rights, stressing that the university is full of With a number of student talents, diversely capable, distinguished and talented students in many fields.

In his speech, Al-Nomany welcomed the university’s guests, praising the fruitful cooperation with the AMIDEAST Authority, starting from the signing of the protocol until today, when the dream has become a reality by opening the center, stressing that the center was prepared within 4 months to be one of the largest specialized centers and a pioneer at the level of Upper Egypt’s universities in the field of integration and empowerment.

Dr. Dina Mohsen expressed her happiness at  the opening of this center at Sohag University, this educational edifice in the south of the country, explaining that Sohag University was chosen to be among the fifteen public universities to implement the project of a service center for students with disabilities within it in cooperation with the IMIDEAST Authority. She extended her thanks to Dr. Hassan, the university president, for his support.
