Prof. Hassan Al-Noman, Sohag University president , met the volunteer house team of the Fund of Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse in the governorate, in the presence of Prof. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Nada Abdel Mohsen, Professor at Faculty of Medicine and the university coordinator of the Fund, Prof. Hamdy Hassanein, director of sustainability center, Dr. Mohamed Shehata, Fund Coordinator, and a number of volunteering student.
Prof. Hassan Al-Noman praised the fruitful cooperation with the Fund in enhancing awareness and confronting the problem of addiction and keeping our youth aware about the mechanisms of early detection of addiction, and the preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative programs provided to protect them from the dangers of addiction, explaining that the meeting discussed the work plan of the Volunteer House for the new academic year 2023/2024, and the need to intensify awareness campaigns, activities and events scheduled to be implemented
