Prof. Khalid Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, participated in the activities of the first qualitative conference for the community service and environmental development sector, entitled (Efforts of Egyptian Universities in the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Rural “Decent Life Initiative”), which was organized by Mansoura University in the framework of hosting a meeting The Supreme Council for Community Service and Environmental Development with the participation of 27 Egyptian public universities, and in the presence of Prof. Sherif Khater, the President of Mansoura University, Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, a group of university presidents and their deputies, and a number of leaders and important personalities.
In this regard, Prof. Mostafa Abdel Khalek, , praised the activities of the conference and what was discussed regarding the efforts of Egyptian universities to support the Decent Life Initiative launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030, stressing that this initiative aims to improve the life of the Egyptian citizen in the most needy villages and towns, referring to the role played by the university in implementing the activities of the initiative and promoting comprehensive development throughout the governorate, noting that the conference provides an opportunity for universities to exchange experiences gained in each university as a result of its participation in the Decent Life Initiative.
