Sohag University donated an electric wheelchair to a student with special needs in the Faculty of Commerce, and two earphones to a student in the Faculty of Science, based on the university’s keenness to provide all the necessary support to differently able students, as they are a group capable of working, producing, and contributing to building the new republic.
Al-Numani stressed that the university will continue to support students with disabilities, in continuation of the decisions and measures taken by the state to ensure the preservation of their rights, including comprehensive exemption from tuition fees, exemption from university dormitories expenses, providing comprehensive treatment in the university hospitals for free, and providing printing presses to print Braille books for people with visual disabilities, providing laboratories, halls, and computers, allocating movement and transportation spaces for them in universities, holding competitions and student activities to develop their skills and abilities, and providing all facilities for them to enroll in university dormitories.
