Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, chaired the University Council’s session No. 210 for the month of August 2024, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the accountant Ashraf Al-Qadi, Secretary-General of the University, and the deans of the faculties.
During the council, the University President directed the rapid response and implementation of the “Bedaya” presidential initiative, which was launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, with the aim of achieving comprehensive development through multiple programs targeting all age groups and covering all governorates of the Republic, in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Al-Nomany directed the university to prepare for the university’s implementation of the conference linking scientific research with societal issues in order to achieve the sustainable development goals of the Egyptian state, adding that the council agreed to hold the “Future of Innovation and Entrepreneurship” conference in its fourth edition, on Monday, November 18, 2024, and also agreed to hold the annual conference for Ear, Nose and Throat Department from 16 to 18 October.
The university president said that it was agreed to reduce tuition fees and expenses for international students at the bachelor’s levels by 30% for students enrolled at the faculty at the beginning of the academic year 2024-2025, and a protocol and cooperation agreement was concluded between Sohag University and the University of Barcelona for Research “UBA
