Prof. Mostafa Abdel Khalek,the President of the University, inaugurated the Intensive Care Unit of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospital in the old headquarters, accompanied by Prof. Magdy El Kady, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Hamdi Saad, Executive Director of the University Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Gaber, Director of the Old University Hospital, Prof. Allam Abdel Moneim Al-Qaem, acting the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Salah Rashid, Head of the Department, Major General Hatem Sadiq, Director of the University Security sector, and a group of professors and doctors.
In his opening speech, the President of the University expressed his happiness at the opening of the Intensive Care Unit in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the headquarters of the old university hospital, and to equip it with the latest medical devices, with the aim of providing intensive and critical care to patients and closely monitoring their medical conditions after performing surgeries.
From his part, Prof. Magdy Al-Qadi thanked and praised the university president for the efforts he made, and the continuous support provided in order to improve the level of medical and health services provided to patients in the governorate and neighboring governorates, thanking all leaders, officials, professors, medical staff and nursing staff at the university hospital, For their important role in providing health care to patients to the fullest.
Dr. Hamdi Saad said that the new intensive care unit will lead to a boom in the field of pregnancies and post-operative care, as it serves a large segment of obstetrics and gynecology patients, who suffer from serious and unstable medical conditions, which require them to receive accurate and continuous medical care, superior to in the stages of those that are presented to patients in other departments.
