Launching the Second International Environmental Investment Conference at Sohag University

Prof. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of Sohag University, announced the launch date of the university’s second international environmental conference, which is organized by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector under the title “Environmental Investment and Egypt’s Vision 2030,” which is scheduled to be held on Sunday, April 28, in the Grand Conference Hall at the old university headquarters under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Alnomani stressed that the Environmental Investment Conference reflects the interest of the political leadership, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, about the environment file in general and the transition to the green economy in particular, in addition to examining mechanisms for adapting to climate change and confronting the harmful effects and negative consequences resulting from climate change.

He added that organizing the conference comes as a continuation of Egypt’s leadership role in preserving the environment and adapting to climate change, to enhance its path towards green transformation, protect natural resources and transform environmental challenges into investment opportunities.
