Dr. Ahmed Aziz, President of Sohag University, headed the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Facilities Committee held in the session No. 104 of May 2021, to discuss a number of issues related to the implementation of a number of constructions and projects at the university in the new and old campuses, in the University Council Hall in the presence of Prof. Safa Mahmoud Al-Sayed and Dr. Ahmed Soliman, And Dr. Mustafa Abdel Khaleq, Vice President of the University, and accountant Ashraf Al-Qadi, acting Secretary General of the University, Dr. Atef Muhammad, the Structural Consultant for University Projects, Prof. Mamdouh Abbas, the University’s Engineering Adviser, and Engineer Hussein Muhammaddin, Director General of Engineering Affairs, and a group of committee members
Prof Ahmed Aziz said that the meeting discussed a number of items on the agenda related to the implementation of new projects and also the completion of existing projects at the university in the new and old campuses, which include the establishment of a covered gymnasium on an area of 8,500 meters, and the completion of the infrastructure works in the new university of paving roads with a length of 7 kilometers around of faculty of Physical Education and faculty of Dentistry
As well as completing the irrigation water system for the university gardens, paving the road leading to Gate No. 2 until reaching the university farm, with the completion of the university walls and elevating them from the southern and western sides, in addition to starting the construction of the Institute of Environmental Studies in Qusair City and connecting the necessary facilities to it, in addition to equipping 2 fully equipped studios at the Faculty of Pharmacy in the new campus for using them in distance learning and teaching
