Al-Nomany announces the Establishment of 5 New Units and Centers of a Special Nature at Sohag University

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, announced the establishment of 5 new units and centers of a special nature at the university, which are the Public Service Center to develop the capabilities of the university staff members, the Conference Center and Guest House, the Regional Center for Community Health, the Legal Clinic Unit at Faculty of Law, and the Medical Training Center at Faculty of Medicine. The financial and administrative regulations for these units were approved by the Ministries of Finance, Higher Education and Scientific Research, in preparation for starting work on them.

Al-Numany explained that in implementation of the directives of the Supreme Council of Universities to involve universities in marketing the outputs of scientific research to serve the surrounding community, the university administration seeks to establish many centers with special units that contribute to the existence of effective communication between the university and the external community in order to achieve development, and provide services and activities for the development of the university students’ skills and preparing them for the labor market, in addition to its role in providing additional self-financing sources for the university to contribute to improving the educational process and serving scientific research.

Al-Numany said that the university includes 49 units and special centers, in addition to the new centers, bringing the total number of centers to 54 centers, as the university constantly seeks to develop their work on an ongoing basis, as it serves as a house of expertise to serve community issues in various service, environmental, or financial ,social or human fields.
