Al-Nomani Announces: Increasing the Number Of Intensive Care beds at Sohag University Hospital to Accommodate the Increasing Number of Patients

Prof Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, inspected the intensive care units at the University Hospital, in order to follow the health conditions of patients, accompanied by Prof. Magdy Al-Qadi, dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Prof. Ahmed Fathi, Director of the University Hospital, and Dr. Ahmed Ali Ismail, Supervisor of the Intensive Care Unit and the Emergency Unit

Al-Noamani stressed that the university is keen to provide distinguished medical service  to the patients in the university hospitals this comes in light of the interest and support that the Egyptian state, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, receives to the health sector, stressing that the university administration seeks to expand intensive care units and increase the number of beds.

Worthy mentioning is that number of care beds in university hospitals was increased to 65 beds, with care for anesthesia, neurology, and chest diseases, in addition to trauma care, in order to accommodate the increasing number of patients and receive cases referred from the emergency hospital.

Dr. Ahmed Ali Ismail added that the university president discussed the medical cases in intensive care, to determine their health conditions, and to check on some accident and post-surgery patients, adding that the new university hospital includes 30 intensive care beds, and the old hospital includes 35 intensive care beds.
