Dr. Hassan Al-NoamanY, President of Sohag University, conducted an inspection tour to follow up the progress of the voting processes for the first round of the Student Union elections for the academic year 2024/2025, within a number of committees in the Faculties of Physical Education and Law, at the new university headquarters, accompanied by Dr. Shaaban Helmy and Dr. Mamdouh Al-Sayed Wakala. College of Physical Education, Dr. Samir Abu Al-Majd and Dr. Zein Al-Abidin Mohamed at the Faculty of Law, Dr. Alaa Ghaleb, head of the Students for Egypt family, Dr. Mohamed Kamal, general coordinator of student activities, and Dr. Ahmed Atef, general director of the General Administration for Central Youth Welfare.
During his tour, the university president explained that the Student Union elections are a vital experience and real training for electoral life in the country, and contribute to developing the spirit of leadership and effective participation among students.
They are legislative regulations that express the opinions and aspirations of students, a translation of democracy and freedom of speech, and provide the opportunity for students to choose those whom they find the ability and competence to represent them in all transparency and integrity.
He pointed out that the voting and balloting processes witnessed a large turnout and a civilized image the students, taking into account the adherence to the rules and instructions organizing the electoral process, wishing success to all the students and choosing a distinguished student union council that is as trustworthy and responsible as possible.
