Sohag University Council thanks President El-Sisi for launching the Presidential Initiative “Bedaya” A new Beginning for Forming the Egyptian Citizen”

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, recently chaired the University Council’s session No. 211 in September 2024, in the presence of Prof. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the accountant Ashraf Al-Qadi, Secretary-General of the University, and the deans of the faculties.

The Council began its session by congratulating President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the anniversary of the glorious October victories, wishing more victories and achievements for Egypt.

Al-Nomany thanked Sisi for launching the Presidential Initiative “Bedaya” A new Beginning for Forming the Egyptian Citizen which aims to improve the quality of life for all citizens at all ages in all parts of the Republic, and achieve self-development, health, educational, sports, cultural, and behavioral development in order to present a capable, aware, and educated citizen to the society.

 

The Council also congratulated Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, and all university employees, including the staff, and students, on the occasion of the new academic year 2024/2025.

Al-Noamany said that the university has developed a plan for student activities for the new academic year to be implemented within the framework of the “A Beginning for forming the Egyptian citizen” initiative, and the implementation of many activities is being completed over the course of 100 days, offering his thanks to the deans of the faculties for what has been implemented in events and activities since the start of the initiative on the 17th of last September.

 

Al-Numany added that the Council agreed to adopt the bylaws of the “Office Information Systems” program at faculty of Arts, a special program with the credit hour system presented by the Libraries Department, and also to adopt the bylaws for the “Digital Media” program at faculty of Arts, a special program with the credit hour system presented by the Department of Media.

The university president added that it was approved to adopt the annual plan for the activities of the community service and community development sector for the academic year 2024-2025, and to approve the annual plan for the activities of the adult education center at the university during the academic year 2024-2025 AD, in addition to agreeing to launch a competition for the best faculty in the activities of the community service sector and environmental development, to be completed in August 2025

 

It is worth noting that it was approved to appoint 5 staff members in the position of professors in the Faculties of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Education, and 3 staff members in the position of assistant professor in the Faculties of Medicine and Arts, and to appoint 14 staff members in the Faculties of Medicine, Arts, Veterinary Medicine, Specific education, effects and education in the position of a lecturer.

and granting doctoral degrees to 14 staff members in the Faculties of Education, Arts, Medicine, Science, Agriculture, Archeology and Alsun, and granted master’s degrees to 41 staff members in the Faculties of Education, Medicine, Science, Engineering, Arts, Agriculture and Physical Education.
