Prof. Hassan Al-Nomany, President of Sohag University, witnessed the graduation projects ceremony for the first batch of the Faculty of Specific Education 2023/24, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Lamia Abu Zeid, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Heba Abdel Mohsen, Head of the Department of Home Keeping, Major General Tariq Hafez, Director General, University Security Administration, a number of staff members and students, in the glass hall of the old university headquarters.
At the beginning of his speech, Dr. Hassan expressed his pride regarding the level of the students’ projects and artistic works, which included works that varied between sculpture, drawing, textile printing, photography, fashion design and handicrafts, which demonstrated the extent of their abilities and creative ideas that produced designs that reflect the Egyptian identity and ancient heritage and provides them with investment opportunities in light of Egypt’s Vision 2030, praising the students who succeeded in turning their project ideas into reality and promoting them through social media, calling them to develop their expertise in the fields of work and succeed in implementing and realizing their dreams.
Al-Nomani also praised the artistic performances presented by the students, which included individual and group playing, and individual choral singing with the participation of students with special needs, through presenting a singing performance in sign language, accompanied by Amal Al-Baroudi, the sign interpreter.
Alnomany expressed his happiness with the deaf students’ good performance of singing through sign language, stressing the importance of the presence and participation of students with disabilities in all activities is a basic right for them, which resulted in the discovery of their talents and abilities and their unlimited insistence to participate effectively with their peers.
