Faculty of medicine at Sohag University organizes the scientific day about kidney diseases and new in its transplantation
Faculty of Medicine at Sohag University organized the activities of the scientific day about “kidney diseases and what is new in kidney transplantation”, which was implemented by the departments of internal medicine, urology and intensive care, in cooperation with the African Society for Organ Transplantation, in the hall of Prof. Mahmoud Riyad at the university hospital in the old headquarters. Prof. Mostafa Abdel-Khalek, the president of the University, assured on the interest of the university and its keenness to organize these scientific meetings and conferences in general, and faculty of Medicine in particular, in order to train young doctors and exchange knowledge and experiences with professors specialized in all medical fields, in order to provide distinguished and quality medical and therapeutic services high for citizens. Prof Magdi Amin Al-Qadi, the dean of the Faculty of Medicine, added that the scientific forum included a number of lectures and scientific discussions about the new in kidney diseases and their transplantation, and they were presented by Prof. Gamal Saadi, the President of the African Society for Organ Transplantation, and Prof. May Hasaballah,the President of the Egyptian Society of Kidney Diseases and Transplantation. Prof Nayel Abdel Hamid Zaki,the head of the forum and head of the kidney unit, explained that the forum also discussed several topics, including nutrition for kidney patients, how to control the development of renal failure in patients, quality of life for dialysis patients and kidney transplant patients and how to improve it, in addition to discussing the obstacles and hopes for the start of the program.
