Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, received the Media Sector Committee of the National Council of Universities during its visit to the Faculty of Mass Communication at the private university. The delegation included Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Sayed, former Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Beni Suef University, and journalist Refaat Fayyad, a member of the Sector Committee and an expert in university education. The visit aimed to assess the capabilities and infrastructure of the faculty in preparation for approving the commencement of studies in the academic year 2025-2026.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany welcomed the committee members, stressing that the faculty represents a strong addition to the modern media education system within the private University. He pointed out that the faculty has been equipped with the latest academic and technological standards to provide an integrated educational environment that keeps pace with the rapid development in the field of media and meets the needs of the labour market. It includes a number of specialized programs, including digital journalism and artificial intelligence, public relations, digital marketing, digital radio and television, and digital content creation. The committee members expressed their appreciation for the efforts made to equip the faculty. Dr. Abdel Aziz El-Sayed stated that Faculty of Mass Communication at Sohag Private University represents a promising model for modern media education based on advanced scientific and technological foundations. He emphasized that the faculty’s available capabilities reflect an ambitious vision toward preparing a generation of media professionals. Those who are able to deal with the changing times and keep pace with the demands of the media labour market. Journalist Refaat Fayyad also expressed his happiness at being at Sohag University, praising the significant development the university is witnessing in its facilities and infrastructure, and the clear interest he noticed in modernizing educational facilities to keep pace with the latest global systems. He added that the faculty possesses a strong infrastructure and technical capabilities which qualifies it to be one of the leading faculties in the field of digital media in Egypt. The university president and committee members toured the Faculty at Sohag Private University, inspecting the classrooms, computer labs, and lecture halls, each with a capacity of 500 students.
