The Egyptian Journal of Archeology and Restoration Studies “EJARS” issued by the Scientific Publishing Center at Sohag University achieves a major achievement on the international databases.

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, announced that the Egyptian Journal of Archaeological and Restoration Studies “EJARS” has achieved a great achievement in the impact factor in the Scopus and Clarivate databases, as the journal obtained an impact factor of (0.4) in the Scopus Cite Score database, and obtained On the influence factor (0,2) in the Clarivate Of Science ISI Web of Science database.

Al-Numani said that this achievement is due to the increasing interest that the university administration has given to scientific research and the encouragement of its scholars to the international scientific publishing, as it is one of the main factors in improving the university’s position in various international classifications.

He thanked those in charge of preparing the magazine and Dr. Muhammad Al-Gohary, the founder and editor-in-chief of the magazine. .

Al-Nomani confirmed that the university is moving in two main directions through its Center for Scientific Publishing.

 The first is to increase the number of journals issued by the university and its various faculties to cover all scientific specializations.

The second and most important direction is to qualify the university’s various journals for inclusion in international databases.
