President of Sohag University during his tour to inspect the new facilities: a number of educational buildings enter service at the beginning of the new year

Prof. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of Sohag University, inspected a number of new educational facilities, as part of his periodic follow-up to the implementation stages of all existing projects to ensure the regularity of work at the new headquarters of the university, and to emphasize commitment to the schedule, accompanied by Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin and Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice Presidents of the University, and engineers of the executing companies.

Al-Nomani stressed the university’s commitment to implementing the strategic vision of higher education, which aims to provide high-quality education and training, as the university is witnessing continuous development processes, whether in the construction or educational aspect, and harnessing all available capabilities to serve students to receive the educational process at a high level of quality, in accordance with the sustainable development goals (Egypt Vision 2030).

During his tour, the President of the University stressed on the executing companies to adhere to the deadlines set for the completion of some works to enter service with the new year, with the need to meet the various structural safety requirements, in accordance with the highest quality standards, and in accordance with the approved specifications.

Prof. Abdel Nasser Yassin explained that the tour included the classrooms and teaching halls building, which is located on an area of 4200 m and consists of 6 floors, and includes 48 halls, at a cost of 120 million pounds, and the central administration building project and its annexes, which is located on an area of 8000 meters, at a cost of 140 million pounds, and the building consists of a basement, a ground floor and five repeated floors.

Prof. Khaled Omran added that the tour also included following up on the construction of the buildings of the International Gym project (Indoor Hall), which is being implemented on an area of 8,000 square meters at a cost of EGP 160 mn.
