Developing the Hysteroscopy and abdominal endoscopy unit at the Sohag University Hospital at a cost of 4.5 million pounds.

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, stated that the hysteroscopy and abdominal endoscopy unit was operated at the old Sohag University Hospital, which is one of the most important diagnostic methods for detecting uterine problems, after replacing and refurbishing some of the devices that had been discontinued.

The unit was developed and provided with modern devices at a cost of 4.5 One million pounds, in order to provide a decent medical service to citizens in Sohag Governorate and neighboring governorates.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani added that operating a unit for hysteroscopy and abdominal endoscopy at the university hospital is considered a big leap and a qualitative development for the obstetrics and gynecology sector to provide accurate diagnosis and detect some uterine problems early.

Dr. Ahmed Fathi, Director of the Old University Hospital, said that the unit is used to diagnose some diseases that can affect pregnancy, noting that the unit’s equipment had been stopped for a long time and was not working due to technical malfunctions, and based on the directives of the university president, the necessary maintenance and repairs were carried out. The devices are now working with high diagnostic efficiency.
