MIS Unit
Prof Mostafa Abdel-Khalek,the president of the University, stated that within the framework of following up the measures taken for the digital transformation in the educational process at the university, represented in implementing the e-book system as well as electronic exams during the academic year 2021/2022, it was decided to hold a meeting on the eighth of November,to follow up the mechanisms of the implementation stages,and preparing to launch the first electronic test from the platform, in the conference center at the new university headquarters.
The meeting will be attended by the deans of the faculties and their deputies for education and student affairs, the directors of student affairs departments, the director of the Measurement and Evaluation Center, the director of the Electronic Services Center, and the director of the M.I.S. project and the official of the electronic systems company that supplied the platform, and the officials of the electronic services units (IT Units) in the university faculties.
The National Telecommunications Institute announces the opening of applications for the second round of the “Egypt Digital Youth – Four Months Scholarship” initiative. The initiative offers more than 15 training tracks in the latest technologies. The course begins on February 11 and lasts for four months: three months of technical training on the latest technologies, project management, communication skills, English language and self-employment, in addition to a month of job training within an international company. The training targets graduates of the College of Engineering (Departments of Communications, Computers, Electronics and Electrical Engineering and the College of Computers and Information, the College of Artificial Intelligence, and the College of Computer Science, from the 2018 to 2022 batches. 2232 Sohag nursing students take first-term exams online
Prof Mostafa Abdel-Khalek, the president of Sohag University, continued the regularity of electronic exams performed by students of the Faculty of Nursing inside the halls of the electronic examination center at the new university headquarters, accompanied by Prof Ghena Abdel Nasser, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Amina Thabet, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Shaima Hassan, Head of Committees
During his tour, the university president reassured the smooth conduct of the examination process without the occurrence of any technical or technical problems, stressing the need to overcome all obstacles that students may face while performing the examinations electronically, explaining that the university administration was keen to activate the digital transformation system, develop evaluation systems and conduct examinations. Electronically, in order to improve the outcomes of the educational process and achieve fairness and transparency in student evaluation.
Prof. Ghena Abdel Nasser indicated that the exams for the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023 are performed by 2,232 male and female students in all academic teams, as the students of the first year performed the parasites exam, while the second year students toperformedok the internal pathology exam, and the third year performed the exam of woman psychology subject, fourth-year students also performed psychology exam.
In implementation of the digital transformation, Sohag University continues its training programs for the administrative staff on computer basics
The General Administration of Organization and Administration at Sohag University continues the activities of its training programs on “basic computer skills”, which targets the university’s administrative office, as part of its training plan in cooperation with the Central Information Network, said Prof Mostafa Abdel Khalek, the President of the University. He said that the activities of the program aim to develop the skills of workers to enable them to implement digital transformation programes; He has previously completed training for the Student Affairs and Postgraduate Studies Departments.
During his inspection of the training activities, Abdel-Khaleq confirmed that the training programs organized by the university are a continuation of its efforts to raise the level of performance of the administrative apparatus, and to keep pace with technological development, which has become one of the requirements of the era in the new republic, in addition to training them to apply digital transformation programs such as the Al-Ameen Program for Warehouses and Al-Ahed, and ZAD program for Student Affairs, as well as the PAYROLL HR Management System program, which is currently being implemented in cooperation with the Finance Directorate, in implementation of the state’s policy and plan for digital transformation in all government institutions.
Accountant Ashraf Al-Qadi, Secretary General of the University, explained that the training aims to develop the capabilities of workers, raise their efficiency and develop their job skills, in addition to reducing costs and waste, rationalizing government spending, and working to achieve accuracy in the system and ease of saving and retrieving data, to achieve a qualitative leap in the level of services provided to employees of the university.
Amani Othman, Director General of the Department of Organization and Administration, added that the program was attended by 40 workers in the university’s departments, divided into two groups, with 20 training hours for each group, over a period of 5 days, as the program included training on the Windows system and the Word application that helps workers to How to use the computer correctly, adding that the training was based on an inventory of the training needs of university employees, as it was published electronically and distributed on paper to the various departments and faculties of the university.
Hanan Ramadan, Director of the Training Department, stated that the training program was attended by Eng. Mahrous Haris, supervisor of the central information network, Eng. Hani Mahmoud Al-Sayed, Eng. Alaa Al-Sadiq and Mahmoud Ahmed Fakhr El-Din in the information network, adding that a training course will be held in next February on Excel and Access applications.

It is a service unit that is divided into more than one stage
