Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, praised the initiative of the students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to collect an amount of 260,000 pounds as a donation for their colleagues to buy a cochlear implant device.
The university’s Social Solidarity Fund also contributed 200,000 pounds, as the total cost of the cochlear implant device amounted to 460,000 pounds, praising the students’ participation in this charitable and volunteer work, which represents the utmost levels of humanity, demanding the students to continue their fruitful giving and effective contribution to the development of society.
Al-Nomani stressed the importance and role of the university’s Solidarity Fund in providing social care to students who are unable, to enhance opportunities for equality among all students, to achieve social security for them in its various forms of insurance or social care
