Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, confirmed that the international gymnasium “the covered hall” being implemented in the new campus will serve as a giant sports edifice, the first of its kind in Upper Egypt, and one of 5 Olympic halls that meet international standards and requirements at a cost of 800 million pounds.
During his tour, Al-Noamani praised the level of performance and quality of implementation carried out the executing company, which has completed 50% of the project, which is scheduled to be delivered by October 2024, stressing that the Olympic Hall will create excellence and superiority in all sports services for the people of the governorate and the neighboring governorates of Upper Egypt.
It is worth noting that the project includes a main hall, sub-gymnasiums, attached gymnasiums, a hall for VIP visitors, another for sports conferences, halls for various martial arts, gym halls, a jacuzzi, sauna, and a room for commentary and television broadcasting.
