The Ministry of Higher Education, through the ICTP unit, was interested in establishing a project to develop electronic portals in Egyptian universities and establish them in accordance with the international standards, with the aim of building an advanced university community that depends on the flow of information among its members, upgrading the technological level of the Egyptian university websites, providing electronic services to staff members, students and researchers, and raising the classification Global Egyptian Universities.
1- Establishing a unified space to deal with the various sources of data in the university and making it available to all its affiliates, including students, faculty members, researchers, and various administrative sectors.
2- Making the electronic content of the university and colleges of technology available to the community, with the ability to access the required services and information with ease.
3- The use of information technology to raise the efficiency of education, achievement and university performance.
Providing its services through information networks and the Internet to all categories of stakeholders, namely students, professors, graduates, researchers, civil society, and those within the scope of the higher education system and have the right to access this information, through coordination and integration with the project of management information systems, colleges and various sectors in the university.
The electronic portal project looks forward to developing the university’s website along with the effective role of the university at the regional and international levels, by enriching the content of the electronic portal in its Arabic and English versions with pictures, documents and videos, and contributing to raising the university’s classification among Egyptian, Arab and African universities.
- Providing a unified portal that includes the websites of the university and its colleges in Arabic and English on the Internet.
- Display the main information of the university and colleges in one location, including information and access maps, management and vision data, mission, university objectives, colleges and various university sectors, units and centers.
