Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, witnessed the conclusion of the activities of the training program for developing the leadership skills, which was organized by the University’s staff Capacity Development Center, for the academic leaders in Faculty of Medicine, with the participation of 35 trainees, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Magdy El-Kady, Dean, Dr. Anbar Mahmoud, Director of the Center, faculty deputies, and department heads, at the old university headquarters.
Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany said that the university is keen to prepare and qualify future leaders and enabling them to define visions and goals that contribute to achieving the university’s mission through optimal investment of its material and human resources, stressing the importance of achieving the role of the Center for Capacity Development of the staff Members and Leaders at the University, and in implementation of the training plan of faculty of Medicine, the program aimed to provide participants with knowledge and skills related to the effective leadership and motivate them to adopt the latest leadership theories in a way that contributes to defining and achieving their future visions.
Dr. Khaled Omran added that the program introduced participants to leadership styles while discussing the most important problems and obstacles they face and the best ways to treat them.
