Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, participated in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities, on Saturday dated 22/2/2025, headed by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in the presence of Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of the Council, and the Council’s members, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
Al-Nomany explained that Dr. Ayman Ashour directed during the meeting to continue providing all forms of support to the brothers in Gaza based on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, through cooperation and coordination between the various concerned parties, and to provide medical and therapeutic services in the university hospitals for the wounded and injured in Gaza Strip, after Egypt’s success, in cooperation with the regional and international partners, in reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip.
Al-Numany added that the Minister stressed the need for the universities to continue to enhance belonging among university students, and to develop plans to intensify awareness campaigns for students to combat unhealthy ideas, and to continue supporting and discovering talented, brilliant and innovative students, and providing all necessary support to them, and receiving and developing their research and innovative ideas, in a way that contributes to transforming their innovative ideas into competitively marketable products, and helping to create marketing opportunities for them.
