Sohag University President inspects the Field Work of the Surveying Project for the GIS Students

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, inspected the field work of the cadastral project for the fourth-level students in the Survey, Maps and Geographic Information Systems program at Faculty of Arts, which is being implemented on the grounds of the university’s new headquarters, praising the excellence of the students and their possession of skills and experience that enable them to practice work in all fields of geographic information systems science using the latest technologies that keep pace with global and technological developments.

Dr. Muhammad Tawfiq, Dean of the faculty, said that the University President followed the practical training for the students of the Survey, Maps and Geographic Information Systems program to implement their graduation projects, stressing that such practical training is considered an important part of the academic aspect, and from it applied graduation projects are produced, which are the most important requirements for passing the final year and graduating with the desired grade for the student.

It requires effort and creative thinking to present distinct ideas that serve the environment and society.

It also contributes to providing students with the opportunity to apply what they have studied in the vital field, learn about professional ethics and work within one team, in order to qualify the graduate before embarking on practical life to become an effective element in various scientific, practical and research fields.
