Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, expressed his thanks and gratitude to Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for providing the opportunity for university students and government and private institutes to visit the activities of the Cairo International Book Fair in its 56th session, as the Minister directed the necessity of organizing free daily visits for university students, providing the necessary facilities and providing transportation and means of transportation to facilitate the arrival of student delegations to visit the exhibition, especially universities that are long distances away, whether in the Lower or Lower Egypt governorates.
Al-Nomany emphasized the importance of these visits and the great benefit that students get from visiting the exhibition, inspecting its many pavilions, and participating in its fruitful activities, which contributes to preparing a conscious generation armed with science and knowledge, who loves reading and being informed, and is intellectually and culturally enlightened, capable of thinking and creativity.
Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, said that the University is keen to organize a number of student visits to the International Book Fair, which is organized by the Egyptian General Book Authority from January 23 to February 5, 2025.
It will be held at the International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Altagmoa under the slogan “Read… In the beginning was the word,” adding that a visit was organized for the students of the first delegation at the beginning of the opening of the exhibition, and the second delegation’s visit will take place next Saturday, the first of February. The delegation is headed by the university president, with the participation of More than 50 male and female students, in addition to a number of staff members.
