Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, announced the approval of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, to establish 4 multi-sports fields on the new university grounds, with the aim of supporting sports activities and providing a healthy and safe environment for university students and youth of the governorate, expressing his thanks to the Minister of Youth and Sports for his continuous support to enhance sports activities, which will positively reflect on the development of physical and psychological abilities among young people.
Al-Nomany stressed that this step comes within the framework of the commitment to invest in the human element and support activities that enhance the development of students at all levels, in implementation of the directives and vision of the Egyptian state, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030, which places youth at the heart of the construction and development process.
In this regard, the university president, Eng. Ayman El-Sayed, received the representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, during his visit to the university, who praised the capabilities available in the new university headquarters, explaining that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will establish two artificial turf five-a-side pitches (multi-purpose) and two tartan five-a-side pitches (multi-purpose) with the aim of serving the youth sector of university students and the youth of Sohag governorate in general, and students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences in particular.
