Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, announced the names of the students who won the religious competition “People of the Qur’an” which was organized by the General Administration of Youth Care at the university (Cultural and Artistic Activity Administration) in the fields of the Holy Qur’an, Hadith and Islamic culture.
Alnomany expressed his great pride in his students for their excellence and distinction in memorizing the Holy Quran, asking them to adopt the good qualities in the Holy Quran, and to apply the teachings of the Quran in all aspects of their daily lives to achieve more successes, stressing that the competition aims to present a new generation of young readers who are inspired by the spirit of the great Egyptian reciters without imitation, and who present correct recitation with an attractive and distinguished performance.
Al-Nomany explained that the first poitions in the competition for memorizing the entire Quran for female students were won by student Wafaa Mohi El-Din at Faculty of Nursing, student Aisha Ismail Shabana at Faculty of Arts, and student Rahab Khalaf Ahmed from Faculty of Medicine, as for the male students, the winners were student Amr Ahmed Hashem from Faculty of Medicine, student Abdullah Mamdouh from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and student Moaz Alaa from Faculty of Medicine.
