The Dutch Akheet Foundation supports Shefa Children’s Hospital with Medical Equipment for Children with Disabilities at a Cost Almost 20 Million Pounds

Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, said that the Dutch Stichting Acheet Foundation provided valuable support to Shefa Children’s Hospital, a gift from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the children of Upper Egypt, which will be included in the presidential openings soon, including modern medical devices to support health services provided to sick children and cases of people with disabilities, at a cost of 348 thousand euros, which is estimated at more than 20 million pounds.

Al-Nomany added that Shefa Children’s Hospital is the largest medical complex for children in the Republic, and that final preparations are underway to open it as a specialized hospital to serve the children of Upper Egypt.

He extended his thanks and appreciation to the Dutch Akhet Foundation, headed by Dr. Samir Khalifa, for its support, and appreciating this fruitful cooperation and the importance of various partnerships with all institutions with the aim of developing medical and therapeutic services in university hospitals.

Dr. Magdy El-Qady, Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hassan El-Naamani, President of the University, for his support and interest in quickly completing the customs procedures until these devices reach the university grounds, appreciating the role of the administrative team in completing these procedures, pointing out that this support will contribute to enhancing the efficiency and quality of providing specialized medical care and serving the people of the governorate and neighboring governorates.
