Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, announced the start of the construction of the first semi-Olympic educational swimming pool on the university grounds in the university campus for female students at the old headquarters, with funding from the university’s own resources at a cost estimated at 8 million pounds.
Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany said that this comes within the framework of developing and modernizing the university’s sports facilities to serve the educational process at Faculty of Sports Sciences, in addition to the activities of the university and its various faculties, and also to serve its visitors from the Sohag community, explaining that the swimming pool will be built with specifications that allow different ages to use it and hold university competitions for swimming of all kinds.
