Al-Nomany: Sohag University succeeded in Implementing 47 Medical and Veterinary Convoys that Treated 31,204 Cases During 2024

Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, stated that the university succeeded in implementing 47 medical and veterinary convoys, during its participation in implementing the presidential initiatives “Decent Life” and “Beginning”, which were launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, with the aim of building the Egyptian person and improving the social and living conditions of citizens and social groups that are most deserving of care.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany stressed that this comes out of belief in the pivotal role of the university in serving the community, contributing to community development, and providing real services to citizens, by providing health care and spreading health awareness among the people of the governorate’s villages, and contributing to early detection of diseases by implementing its medical convoys, in addition to maintaining the health of animals, through its veterinary convoys.

Al-Nomani praised the role of the university administration represented by the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector and the Faculties of Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Nursing, appreciating the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Decent Life Foundation in providing these comprehensive social and development services in the villages and centers of the governorate, and providing all forms of support and care to the most vulnerable groups, emphasizing the university’s continuation in implementing its comprehensive medical and veterinary development convoys, to enhance services in rural areas, by exploiting its scientific capabilities and distinguished academic cadres.

Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, said that the sector succeeded in implementing 47 medical and veterinary convoys to the villages and centers of the governorate during 2024, where medical examinations were conducted and 31,204 cases were treated, and all forms of support, medical, health and awareness care were provided free of charge to the deserving categories of the people of the villages of the Decent Life Initiative.
