Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, announced that the university has succeeded in achieving advanced positions in the Academic Ranking of World Universities for the year 2024 (ARWU) “Chinese Ranking (Shanghai Ranking)” and demonstrating excellence in the field of veterinary medicine, and in the field of mathematics, it was ranked 400-301 at the level of the international universities.
Al-Noamany stressed that the progress achieved by the university in the international ranking of universities, whether general or specializations, reflects the extent of academic development at Sohag University in light of the policies pursued by the university and the system of the strategic plan for higher education and the efforts made to support and improve the outcomes of the university’s international ranking and develop the standards required for them
Al-Nomani said that the Chinese Shanghai ranking (ARWU) is considered one of the strongest international ranking for the universities in the world, indicating that according to this ranking, the university advanced in its ranking among the world’s universities in the field of mathematics compared to last year, as it got a rank of 401-500
