For the first time at Sohag University…the Head of the Acting Professions Syndicate lectured an Educational Symposium on the role of art in Forming Humanity within the Activities of Bedaya Initiative

 

Prof. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, witnessed the activities of the educational symposium organized by the Department of Cultural and Artistic Activity of the General Administration of Central Youth Welfare, entitled (The Role of Art in Building Mthe human beingan), and the artist Dr. Ashraf Zaki,  the head of the Syndicate of Acting Professions and former President of the Academy of Arts, lectured in the Grand Conference Hall at the old university headquarters, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the accountant Ashraf Al-Qadi, Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Sayed Khater, former Minister of Culture, Major General Tariq Hafez, Director of University Security, Dr. Muhammad Kamal, General Coordinator of Student Activities, and Dr. Ahmed Atef, Director-General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare.,

Ms.Intisar Abu Al-Dahab, Director of Cultural and Artistic Activities, deans of the faculties, a group of university leaders, staff members and the administrative staff, and a large group of male and female students.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany welcomed the university’s guest, Dr. Ashraf Zaki, one of the pioneers of fine art.

He thanked him for accepting the invitation and his keenness to participate in presenting the educational symposium that comes within the activities of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building the Egyptian human being,” which aims to invest in the human spirit and develop the skills and capabilities of all segments of society, stressing that the university is keen to host public Prominent and influential figures in the society, to educate the  university youth, develop their awareness, and shape their intellectual orientations in various life fields

, pointing out that the symposium sheds light on the extent to which art is linked to building and shaping the human being, as building the human being is the most important axis of community development through the dissemination of fine art.

Art is also considered a major element in building an individual’s personality and acquiring behavioral patterns through his interaction with various arts.

Dr. Ashraf Zaki began his speech by words of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany and all the university’s employees for the warm reception and generous hospitality, speaking about the role of art and its message aimed at advancing the human being and refining the conscience.
