President of Sohag University honors the Male and Female Students who won the First Positions in the 100 Days of Sports Activities

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamany, President of Sohag University, witnessed the conclusion of the activities of the sports day for male and female students of the university, which was organized by the Sports Activity Department of the General Administration of Central Youth Welfare, within the framework of the 100 Days of Sports initiative within the activities of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Building the Egyptian Citizen,” where the activities were held on playgrounds. The University Dormitories  for Female Students at the old university headquarters, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs

Dr. Mohamed Kamal, General Coordinator of Student Activities, Ahmed Atef, General Director of the General Administration of Central Youth Welfare, Nashat Abbas, Director of the Sports Activity Department, and a distinguished group of sports activity specialists in the Central Youth Welfare Departments and faculties.

Dr. Hassan Al-Numani expressed his pride of the university’s distinguished and talented male and female students in various fields of student activities, praising the students’ performance and athletic excellence, and their high level of physical fitness, adding that the university is keen to expand the space for participation in student activities and spread the awareness of the importance of sports as a healthy lifestyle.

This is in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to activate the 100 Days of Sports initiative.

Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin explained that sporting events are an opportunity for students to gather and demonstrate their physical and physical abilities and capabilities, in addition to encouraging female students to practice sporting activities, noting that the events witnessed great participation by male and female students from various faculties as more than 600 students and 450 female students participated in the sports day, adding that the faculties that won the first three places in the ranking of the sports day were honored, as faculty of Arts got the first place, physical education got  the second place, and specific education got the third place.

Dr. Mohamed Kamal, General Coordinator of the Student Activities, stated that the University President honored the teams that won the first places and the male and female students who achieved advanced positions in individual and team games, which included pentathlon football, beach volleyball, 3×3 basketball, shot put, BE FIT, Broad jump, 100 meter sprint.

Mr. Ahmed Atef added that in the five-a-side football competition (for male students), faculty of Law team won the first place, and faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence team won the second place.

As for (female students), faculty of Arts team got the first position, and faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence team got the second position and in the  Beach volleyball matches (students), faculty of Physical Education team won  the first position, and faculty of Educational Technology team won the  second position As for the (female students) team from faculty of Physical Education won the first position, and the team from of faculty of Commerce won the second position, adding that the basketball competitions (student) ended with the winning of the team of faculty of Physical Education, the team of faculty of Science won the second position, and (female students) the team of the faculty of Arts won the First position, and the team of faculty of Specific Education got the second position.Nashaat Abbas pointed out that in the table tennis games (for male students), Muhammad Ahmed from Faculty of Engineering won the first position, and Mustafa Muhammad from Faculty of Computers won the second position, while for (female students) Aya Mahmoud from Faculty of Arts won the first position, and Manar Mustafa from Faculty of Commerce won the second position, adding that in In the B-Fit competition, Muhammad Rajab, from Faculty of Arts won the first position ,Hossam El-Din Waheed at faculty of Physical Education won the second position, and for female students, Alia Al-Arif at faculty of Specific Education got the first position, Nisreen Talaat at faculty of Physical Education got the second position, and in the 100-meter sprint race, student Nour El-Din Abdullah from faculty of Physical Education won the first position, Ibrahim Saleh, from faculty of Law, won the second position. As for the female students, Rawan Jamal, from faculty of Physical Education, won first position, and Nahed William, from faculty of Arts, won the second position.

Al-Khatib Muhammad said that the shot put race ended with the winning of Mustafa Assem and Ayman Abdel-Naim from faculty of Law, and the female students, Halima Helmy from faculty of Physical Education, and Donia Abdel-Al from faculty of Law won the first and the second positions.

As for the broad jump competition, the student Nour El-Din Abdullah from Faculty of Physical Education, ranked first  and Adham Muhammad, from faculty of Computers, ranked second, and Nahed William, from faculty of Arts, ranker first, and Yasmine Ibrahim, from faculty of Physical Education, ranked second.
