The Council of Sohag University, headed by Dr. Hassan Al-Numany, president of the University, held an emergency meeting today to ratify and approve the procedures of establishing the Faculty of oral and Dental Medicine at Sohag university based on the approval of the Supreme Council of universities, in the presence of Dr. Abdul Nasser yess and Dr. Khaled Omran, vices-president of the University, accountant Ashraf al-Qadi, secretary general of the University, and deans of the faculties.
At the beginning of the meeting, the president of the university thanked President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Republic for his unlimited support
He stressed that Sohag University has witnessed a construction boom at the highest level at a cost of more than 10 billion pounds in its new headquarters, which includes 18 a faculties that is equipped according to the specifications of smart universities.
Al-Nomani also thanked Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, for the higher approval of the universities to establish Faculty of Dentistry, which will be a distinguished new addition to the University’s faculties, equipped according to quality standards, adding that during the meeting the necessary measures were taken in this regard.
