*Allocating More than 2 Million Pounds to Equip the Embedded Systems and Internet of Things Laboratory at Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence at Sohag University*

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, stated that an amount of 2 million and 100 thousand pounds has been allocated to equip the Embedded Systems and Internet of Things laboratory at Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, stressing that the establishment of the laboratory comes within the framework of the interest that the political leadership gives to the fields and sciences of artificial intelligence applications, which represents one of the Sustainable development goals and Egypt Vision 2030.

Al-Nomani added that the laboratory will play a major role in building capabilities and providing consultations and solutions to contribute to economic, educational and social development.

Therefore, the university administration is striving to provide all aspects of technical and material support to serve the educational process, and to graduate a generation of young people who are aware and capable of seriously participating in the use of artificial intelligence technology in various sectors and institutions of the state.

Dr. Al-Numairi Allam, Dean of the faculty, explained that the Embedded Systems and Internet of Things Laboratory is a strong addition to the university in general and to the faculty in particular, due to its prominent importance in providing students with new skills in the fields of computing and informatics, and preparing and qualifying distinguished human cadres capable of dealing with techniques and tools of artificial intelligence technology.
