Sohag University was keen to participate positively in shaping the future of the nation, and to make its own mark in the 2024 presidential elections, starting with a series of educational and awareness seminars to urge students and all members of the university to participate in voting as a national duty and a constitutional right, to providing all necessary logistical facilities either buses and others to transport the Expatriate university students to the headquarters of their electoral committees to facilitate their transportation, and the formation of student teams to organize the movement of all university employees to the polling stations, with complete ease, to prevent any crowding in addition to providing integrated medical teams from the university hospital to follow up any emergency cases that may occur during the voting process.

The university’s preparations to participate in the presidential elections

Sohag University organizes a series of educational and awareness seminars entitled Your Voice is Trust… Come and Participate

Sohag University organized a series of educational awareness-raising symposium entitled “Your Voice, Your Future… Go Participate,” to educate students about the importance of their participation in the presidential elections, and to urge them to perform their duty not only towards their country but also towards their families, which is one of their constitutional rights that they should not neglect.

Al-Noamani meets with the Council of Deans of Sohag University to discuss preparations for students’ participation in the presidential elections…and stresses that it is time to return the favor to Egypt.

During his meeting with the Deans Council, prof. Hassan Al-Nomani, the University President, directed the importance of urging students, the administrative staff, and staff members in each faculty to participate in the elections, as a national duty in order to establish democracy for a better future, return the favor to our homeland, Egypt, and complete the dream of the new republic, stressing that the current period requires strong participation in the presidential elections, to give a positive image of Egypt, and to participate in construction and development.

The first day of the presidential elections

Al-Nomani leads a huge and massive march that includes 20,000 male and female university students to the ballot boxes for the 2024 presidential elections.

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of the University, led a massive, unprecedented student march that traveled throughout the governorate in support of the 2024 presidential elections and the promotion of democracy stemming from the people’s choice to represent them at that defining moment in Egypt’s history, chanting strong national slogans under the slogan (Come down, share… your voice is trust) so that this democratic wedding is the best witness to the true transformation of Egyptians and the complete freedom they enjoy and clear popular cohesion, which places Egypt in its correct and usual position among the countries of the world.

The President of Sohag University casts his electoral vote and stresses that participation guarantees the integrity and justice of the electoral process

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, votes in the constitutional entitlement for the 2024 presidential elections, in the morning of the first day of the elections, in his electoral committee at Al-Shaimaa Secondary School for Girls in Sohag, expressing his pride and admiration for the political scene that reflects the democratic state that the Egyptian state is experiencing through this democratic wedding which shows the extent of the Egyptian citizen’s awareness of the importance of going to the ballot boxes and actively participating to ensure Integrity and fairness of the electoral process.

 

The second day in a row

The university president continues to transport large crowds of students and accompanies expatriates to the headquarters of their committees to vote in the presidential elections

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomani, President of the University, participated in going out with expatriate students and following up their movement on the university buses, to participate in the electoral scene and vote in their committees, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Ashraf Al-Qadi Amin, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Alaa Ghaleb, President of Students for Egypt team, and a number of faculties deans.

 

Al-Nomani confirmed that the university provided mass transportation buses for expatriate students to take them to the headquarters of their electoral committees, as more than 20 buses were allocated to transport students to expatriate committees, which the state provided to facilitate the voting process for them instead of the hardship of travel, as the governorate allocated 9 electoral committees for them in Sohag Governorate. .

University students continue to flock to the polls to vote in the presidential elections

Since the early morning hours of the second day in a row, the election committees witnessed a large number of students from all faculties, as they continued to arrive at the ballot boxes to vote in the presidential elections at their committee headquarters, as the number of students who participated in voting in the presidential elections so far reached more than 30 thousand Male and female students

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, stated that the committees of the new city of Sohag, witnessed a positive voting intensity as a result of the continued influx of university students to vote in the presidential elections, and to perform their national duty and their constitutional right to the most important electoral entitlement, which is choosing the President of the Republic.

Al-Nomani appreciated the large turnout by university students who showed a real willingness to actively participate in the democratic process during the three days allocated for voting, and their distinguished positive participation, which embodies their desire to contribute to determining the future of the country and political decision-making.

In this context, Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani accompanied the university students to the headquarters of their electoral committees in New Sohag City, Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University, Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University, Engineer Mohamed Abdullah Youssef, Head of the New Sohag City Authority, deans of faculties, and Dr. Alaa Ghaleb, President of Students for Egypt  team and a number of staff members.

University Dormitories Participate Intensively in Presidential Elections

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani followed continuing voting for the third day in a row, where the committees witnessed a large turnout from students, in the presence of Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Eng. Mohamed Abdullah, Head of the New Sohag City Authority, and Samia Zayed, Director General of University dormitories.

Al-Nomani stressed that students continued to flock to the polls until the last hours, which demonstrates the awareness of young people and their continuation of performing historical epics, with the aim of continuing to build the great Egyptian state.

The male and female students were keen to take souvenir photos with the university president amidst great joy and a festive atmosphere for their participation in this democratic wedding, which Egypt had never witnessed before.

For students with disabilities and presidential elections

Dr. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, followed the movement of students with disabilities from the university headquarters to their electoral committees to vote, amidst overwhelming joy for their participation in this democratic electoral celebration and the exercise of their political rights to shape the future of their country.

Al-Numani said that the university provided buses to transport students with disabilities to the headquarters of their committees and provided them with an appropriate climate to facilitate their transportation. The university formed a dedicated committee to help students with disabilities since they left the university, and  to help them to know their electoral committees to facilitate their movement, stressing that disability is in thought not in the body, especially since people with disabilities represent a large segment and an important component of the human wealth in Egyptian society, and there are many distinguished models among them in various fields.
