Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, President of Sohag University, announced that the university ranked tenth among Egyptian universities in the number of projects submitted to the Fund for Support and Care of Innovators and Geniuses established by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as the Fund works to be a sponsor for all the talented, innovators and geniuses of the university’s students in various. faculties.
The university president said that a fund to support innovators and geniuses was established under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in appreciation of the contributions of researchers at the local and international levels, stressing that the fund seeks to support and nurture innovation and geniuses in Egyptian universities, and to work to encourage students permanently, as this appears.
Through competitions launched by its centers in universities, this comes from the university’s support for innovators and geniuses.
Last November, the University Council approved the launch of the “Pre-university Graduation Researchers” initiative presented by the College of Science, where the Fund is supporting it.
Al-Nomani stressed that the strategic objectives of the center, which was established at the university in June 2022, are to strengthen the national affiliation of talented people and direct their abilities for this, and to develop the university community’s awareness of the importance of talent, genius and creativity, and to design specific programs to meet their needs and develop their abilities, in addition to developing their spirit of creativity.
