Prof. Hassan Al-Noamani, Sohag University president, inaugurated a unit for treating staff members, with the aim of providing health care for them and their families, and as an effective contribution from the university for their efforts in serving the educational process, on the third floor of the administrative building at the old university hospital headquarters, in the presence of prof. Abdel Nasser Yassin. prof. Khaled Omran, Vice President of the University, prof. Magdy Al-Qadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Ahmed Fathi, Director General of University Hospitals, Dr. Sharaf El-Din Shazly, Director of the Unit, and a number of deans of faculties and staff members at the university.
Al-Nomani stressed that the university administration seeks to continuously improve and develop the medical system, provide medical services and provide all therapeutic facilities to university employees, as an integral part of the university’s mission towards its employees, in addition to activating its service and social role, as the unit was established and equipped to receive emergency cases for the staff members.
Prof. Magdy Al-Qadi explained that the unit includes the administrative side and a special suite to provide therapeutic services to the staff members, and includes 10 first-class accommodation rooms and waiting rooms for their companions.
The unit’s location inside the hospital is connected to cardiac, thoracic, neurological, and anesthesia care, and is also connected to operating rooms inside the hospital.
