Sohag University is preparing for the field visit from the Supreme Council of Universities Committee, to determine the material and human capabilities required to start studing at Faculty of Graduate Studies and Environmental Research.
Prof Hassan Al-Noamani, Sohag University president, stated that this faculty is unique at the level of central and southern Upper Egypt, and it is a strong addition to the university and to the outsider community.
The university president added that the faculty will qualify students to work in a number of specializations such as environmental control, environmental impact assessment, sugar industry technology, cement industry technology, drinking water purification and wastewater technology, mining and petroleum technology, occupational safety and health, fish farming and fisheries technology, and environmental risk management. Nanotechnology and its use in various fields, in addition to information systems, environmental modeling, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability.
