Prof. Hassan Al-Numani, president of Sohag university, received Dr. Maggie Nassif, executive director of the American Fulbright Commission, to discuss ways of cooperation in supporting the scientific research system, developing the skills and capabilities of researchers in various research fields, and exchanging cultures and experiences between the two sides, in the presence of Dr. Abdul Nasser yess and Dr. Khalid Omran, vice-presidents of the University, Abdul Alim Rifat, representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Batul Khalid, program coordinator at the commission.
Maggie Nassif added that the authority offers a range of excellent supporting programs that are fully funded financially and technically. He pointed out that the authority is fully prepared to finance the training of students in New and emerging journals in the needs of the labor market, in addition to providing graduate programs and post-doctoral research in academic and professional fields.
It is worth mentioning that this meeting was followed by an introductory seminar on the programs and grants provided by the “Fulbright” authority, in the presence of the University President, deputies, deans of colleges and students from various faculties of the University, during which the study programs in the United States of America, the application dates for each program, its conditions, evaluation criteria and others were introduced.o
