Prof Mustafa Abdel Khalek, the President of the University, chaired the work of the committee concerned with selecting candidates for the position of dean of Faculty of Education at the university,namely: Prof Imad Samuel Wahba, Acting the dean of the Faculty, Prof Hussein Taha Atta, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Prof Abdel Baset Mohamed Diab, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof Khadija Abdulaziz Ali, Director of the Center for Adult Education, Prof Shaaban Helmy Hafez, and Prof Abdullah Mahmoud Ismail, Director of the Center for Academic publishing, where personal interviews were held with the candidates at the headquarters of the University President’s office in Cairo.
The university president explained that a committee to select a dean for the faculty of Education was held to evaluate the candidates based on several axes, including the faculty development plan, strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing the college, how to overcome weaknesses and benefit from strengths, and develop the entire educational process either in the undergraduate level and Postgraduate studies, community service and environmental development, how to develop the college’s own resources, in addition to reviewing the candidate’s biography, his characteristics related to psychological and social balance, enjoying a good reputation and adhering to laws and regulations, and his cooperation and his/ her respect among workers and his colleagues
