The President of Sohag University inaugurates the 12th Employment Forum of Faculty of Agriculture, with the Participation of 25 Companies and Institutions from Various Fields

Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, inaugurated the 12th Employment Forum of Faculty of Agriculture, at the faculty’s headquarters in the new campus, in the presence of Dr. Khalaf Hammam, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Zeinhom Shekhon, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the Faculty’s Vice Deans, Department Heads, and a group of faculty members and employees of the Faculty.

Accountant Nader Abdel Zaher, Director of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) branch, Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman, a certified trainer at the agency, and a number of representatives of companies and institutions participating in the forum.

Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany emphasized that the forum is being organized based on the state’s interest in the graduate sector and providing the necessary facilities to train them to be truly qualified to enter the labor market regionally and internationally, as they are the fuel of development and civilization for any country, and the main partner in achieving the goals of sustainable development and the requirements of the new republic by building a distinguished and qualified generation to keep pace with the needs of the labor market

and to participate in developing the Egyptian society and solving its problems, explaining that employment forums are a vital bridge linking students and young graduates to the real labor market, as holding these forums is considered a proactive step towards empowering youth and reducing unemployment rates.

It is also a fertile ground for developing the personal skills of young people, preparing them for a promising professional future.

He praised the fruitful and distinguished cooperation with the branch of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency in the governorate, and the companies and institutions participating in the forum.

He extended his sincere greetings and thanks to all those in charge of organizing the forum, hoping that it would achieve its desired goals.

Dr. Khalaf Hammam said that Faculty of Agriculture is keen to hold an annual employment forum, due to its importance in exchanging experiences between young people, businessmen, company owners, and experts in various fields, in addition to developing human cadres and providing them with practical skills and free training opportunities that enhance their capabilities and potential, and open ways for them to find suitable jobs.

For their specializations, pointing out the importance of employment forums to support and sponsor young graduates, and enhance their role in entrepreneurship, by standing by them and adopting their medium and small projects, and removing all obstacles in front of them, to market their products and encourage them to enter the free labor market with strength and professionalism, offering the highest expressions of thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hassan Al-Nomany

,the University President, for his constant and continuous support and sponsorship for all academic and social activities organized by the faculty, and for meeting all educational requirements, is keen to ensure that students achieve the highest level of academic achievement and graduate a new generation of distinguished youth qualified to compete in the labor market.

From his part, Dr. Zeinhom Shekhon explained that the forum provides training opportunities for young people in various companies and institutions working in the agricultural sector, entrepreneurship, and small, medium, and micro enterprises, through cooperation with the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency in the governorate.

The services and facilities it provides to young graduates help them understand the needs of the labor market and prepare them to face the challenges of practical life.

He added that 25 companies and institutions from various specializations and sectors are participating in the twelfth employment forum this year

praising the tangible achievements of the employment forum last year, and its success in employing more than 75 young university graduates in many distinguished companies and institutions in the governorate, he hoped that the forum would achieve more influential achievements this year, and contribute to obtaining the largest number of graduates

on job opportunities that suit their skills and academic specializations, thanking the companies that supported the forum’s activities, and everyone who contributed to organizing the forum and making it a successful event in the name of the university
