The Students of Faculty of Technology and Education in Sohag made a Scientific Visit to a Plastics Factory.

Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, emphasized that the university gives great importance to integrating academics with practical field training, which contributes to preparing graduates qualified to the labor market and able to meet the changing technological challenges.

He also highlighted the importance of organizing field and scientific visits to various production and industrial sites inside and outside the governorate.

This came as part of a scientific visit organized by the students of Department of Electrical Power and Machinery at Faculty of Technology and Education to a plastics factory in the West Girga Industrial Zone.

The visit was coordinated by the Faculty’s Student Union and the Students for Egypt family.

From his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahim Farghali, Dean of the faculty, explained that this visit comes as part of a series of field activities aimed at linking theoretical studies with practical reality. He praised the students’ interaction and their benefit from learning about the production stages and manufacturing lines within the factory, including household appliances (such as brooms, shovels, and brushes).

In addition to the department’s chair factory, he added that this experience represents a real opportunity to acquire new skills and keep up with the latest technologies in operation and maintenance, which supports students in developing a clear, practical vision of the needs of the job market.
