Sohag University embodies the spirit of love and Brotherhood by offering Congratulations to the Egyptian Coptic on the Occasion of Easter during a Visit to the Orthodox, Catholic and Evangelical Churches in the Governorate

Dr. Hassan El-Nomany, President of Sohag University, congratulated the Coptic community on the occasion of Easter during his visit to the Orthodox, Catholic, and Evangelical churches.

He was accompanied by Dr. Abdel Nasser Yassin and Dr. Khaled Omran, Vice Presidents of the University, a group of deans of faculties, Major General Tarek Hafez, Director of University Security, faculty members, and students from the For Egypt movement.

Al-Nomany stressed his constant keenness to take his students in such visits and religious occasions that embody the spirit of love and brotherhood with our Christian brothers.

Therefore, we must reciprocate with them kindness and respect.

We join them in their churches to congratulate them, affirming that Egypt will always remain a homeland for all, embodying the highest values ​​of national unity and societal peace.

We pray to God to preserve Egypt and perpetuate the unity and cohesion of its people, and that the state, with the help of its people, Muslims and Christians, will continue to achieve development, construction, and prosperity.

The University President began the tour with a visit to the Coptic Catholic Bishopric, where they congratulated Bishop Thomas, then visited the Sohag Bishopric, where they congratulated  Bishop Bakhoum of Sohag, El-Mansha, and El-Maragha.

The tour concluded with a visit to the Evangelical Church, where they congratulated Father Michael Yaqoub, Pastor of the Evangelical Church.

The churches warmly welcomed the visit of the university president and his accompanying delegation, expressing their appreciation and gratitude for this kind gesture, which reflects the spirit of national unity and love among all Egyptians.

They also praised the role played by Sohag University and its leadership in building the character of students through knowledge and culture, spreading the values ​​of tolerance and love, and graduating distinguished students, both scientifically and morally, to lead development and build the nation.
